All Disc golfers who are on facebook, please check the Watson Island Disc Golf Site for details regarding the ongoing clean-up and construction of our newest course in the Grand Valley.
This project is being led by Russ Hamilton and Brian Seaman. Work times are flexible and include most Saturdays at 10:00am. Nine (9) temporary holes have been marked out with 4 x 4 posts; and you are welcome to check them out, just bring a trash bag to fill up. They are also looking for skidsteers and equipment for the major clean-up.
To volunteer or for more information please contact: Brian at 970-985-8980 or Russ at 970-270-1225

Just wanted everyone to know the Fruita City Council just approved the Newest Disc golf course. We will be sharing our park with single track bikes and also a pump park!!!!!! We need to start fund raising for this Park. Email me if you want to help put this together. Lets show Fruita how we can get er done disc golfers This course will be close to Palisade but it will have more slope, tight with some hucks to hit. Lets start asking people and businesses to help us. I would like to have this park playable by summer 2011. 18 holes of FUN

Work session is on for saturday, Feb 19th. Rain or shine. 9am It will mostly entail some cleanup in and around the new tpad areas, basket areas, there are lots of leftover\slash/chunks of wood. no real backbreaking work, clean out fareways etc.
i would suggest you get used to parking at snooks bottom big parking lot. thats where you start golfing and finish golfing. there will be no other parking area for disc golfers.

How'd it go? I can't wait to get out there and check things out but we were just too busy Saturday.
We did manage to qualify Aaron and his potato cannon for the state science fair in Ft.Collins. Unfortunately it's the same weekend as Johnny Roberts. Oh well, seems like every weekend is packed.

Went well Tim. Only 5 people from the club showed up and 1 of the City council Members in Fruita.
Did some good work on two holes, and John Bird kicked ass on the path sculpting for Hole #4.
It's going to be an awesome course.
Wish more people would have shown up.
