I-70 to Glenwood Springs, east on Hwy 82 for 30 miles to the Snowmass Village exit (Brush Creek Rd). Go south 5 miles to a left on Wood Rd. then immediate right at fork, 1 mile up the hill to parking at the mall. Walk across mall to Burlingame lift.
That should get you to both the Red and Yellow Courses.

Tim, here is what Ron had to say about the course;
A lift is necessary. The same lift brings you to a mid mountain location and the start of both courses. They had to move the courses to the other side of the mountain due to declining Elk populations through this area - which is why the Snowmass tourney lists it as a layout that is not finished.

I talked to a couple of people this weekend in Leadville and it sounds like you have to buy a lift ticket for $25 to play the Snowmas course. This could make for an expensive one day tourny.

Ouch! that definitely makes it expensive for a one day non-sanctioned.

Hi all-
The flyer for the Snowmass tourney for the Peaks and Valleys point series is attached. The tournament is scheduled for Sunday, 7/18. We are getting discounted lift tickets ($17 instead of $24) as long as we get at least 20 players. I am asking that players call me to pre-register so that I know how many players are going to show up. They can also send me an entry form with their payment prior to the tourney. I will be taking entry fees the morning of the tourney.
We will be playing both courses - the red course in the morning and the yellow course in the afternoon. We will have to do tee-times since the courses both play from the top of the gondola and finish at the bottom of the hill. The groups will stay the same for both rounds, since we will not have time to gather score cards and re-align the groups.
I will not be playing so I can coordinate things betwen rounds with each group. I will find a place near the base of the gondola for tourney central. Players will need to check in with me at the end of their first round, grab a quick lunch on their own, and then head back up the hill for the second round on the yellow course. Once the last group comes off the mountain after the second round, we will have the awards right away (since I won't be playing, I can get everything organized and ready).
Please print out some copies of the flyer to hand out to your local players and/or encourage players to get on the websites to get the flyers themselves. Again, I will need players to call me ahead of time so I can coordinate the lift tickets that we will need to purchase. Entry fees and lift tickets can be paid for the morning of the tournament.
As usual, check in will be from 8:00 to 9:00 with a players meeting at 9:30. The gondola starts running at 10:00, so we will send the first group up the mountain at that time, with the subsequent groups following. Remember, this is the week before the PDGA sanctioned event, so this will be a great opportunity to learn the course setup and get ready for the following week.
Brian and John, can you post the flyer on your respective websites for me? Again, I appreciate everyone's help. Looking forward to another great tournament!
Let me know should you have any questions.
See ya,
Mike Kalous

Good work "Webmaster" for getting the Church of Disc info up on the front page. It should be a great finale.
