Hello all,

I am just letting you know the Montrose Open dates had to change. Late August was no longer going to work for myself or the club members so we have changed the date to June 23-24. I know this is the same weekend as KCO and I apologize to any inconveniences the change causes anyone. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

So you know, it will be the same great tournament. I expect players can camp in the park (although I need to get this confirmed again) as in the past several years. We will have a top notch players package again that will include top-line plastic, and other goodies so everyone who plays gets some good stuff before the tournament even starts. Guys, bring your wives, girlfirends etc. Women players are very welcome and we often have several Am women as well as a few pros. Ams will be paid out well as always and Pros should look at the payouts from the past two years to see the amount of cash added. If you're not going to KC, come to Montrose.

I'll have a flyer up soon on the CDSA website. Expect three rounds of fun golf on the redesigned Montrose course. CTP prizes and likely a Ring Of Fire too. I expect awards to be finished by 3:00 Sunday at the latest so people will have time to drive home.

The new course record is 51 at this point with Pro par at 58. 51 won't last too long but there is some trouble to be had for straying off the fairway now (and it's not a ton of artificial OB so you know). My best guess is that a 1000 rated round would be about 52. I will try to get some pictures taken of the new holes and a map posted over the next month. Hope to see you in Montrose this summer.

-MAD Twisted Evil MAX

p.s. When things solidify, I will post the reasons for the change in date but a few things are in flux right now. Laters Very Happy

Max, I was wondering if you'll be playing this week, I'd like to play that course with a local. I shot a 49 today and think I should probably move to the open division for the tourney this weekend. Let me know,

thanks, Joe the science teacher you met at palisade...
